Catalog bolts are designed to cover common applications using standardized dimensions, materials, threads, and head configurations. Custom Bolts are manufactured for applications where a standard fastener cannot meet the required specifications.
Resolute Precision manufactures bolts entirely to your drawing. Thread form, pitch, head geometry, shank diameter and tolerance, overall length, drive feature, material, and other specifications are defined by your requirements. We machine each component using the same ISO 9001:2015-controlled manufacturing process used for our precision turned components.
Common bolt drive features, including hex socket, Torx, Phillips, slotted, external hex, and spline, can be machined using live tooling in the same operation as the thread and shank. This minimizes secondary handling and helps maintain positional accuracy between the drive feature, thread, and bolt axis.

Resolute Precision Custom Bolts serve applications where catalog fasteners are not suitable, including:
Shoulder bolts for precision pivot, hinge, and alignment applications requiring tight shank tolerance
Aerospace and defense bolts in titanium and 17-4 PH stainless steel to proprietary specifications
Medical device fasteners in 316L stainless steel or titanium with non-standard thread forms
Fluid power and hydraulic system bolts with special sealing thread forms
Industrial machinery special bolts with proprietary head geometry or drive features
Automotive powertrain bolts requiring non-standard pitch or material specifications
Resolute Precision Manufacturing supplies precision Custom Bolts for manufacturers and OEMs across industries where application-specific dimensions, materials, threads, and tolerances are required. Our precision machining capabilities support prototype, low-volume, and production requirements for:
Fluid Power & Hydraulics — valve bodies, spool valves, fittings, cylinders
Medical Devices — Swiss-turned components in stainless steel, titanium, and PEEK
Automotive — high-volume bar-fed production sub-assembly components
Aerospace & Defense — tight-tolerance aluminum and titanium components
Industrial Machinery — shafts, bushings, flanges, and housings
Custom Fasteners — screws, bolts, inserts, and specialty hardware
A standard bolt has a shank diameter tolerance of approximately ±0.005″ relative to the nominal thread pitch diameter. A precision shoulder bolt has a ground or turned shank with tolerance typically ±0.0005″ or tighter used where the shank functions as a bearing surface, pivot, or precision locating feature.
Yes. We produce any thread pitch that can be specified on a drawing fine, extra-fine, non-standard (UNS), metric fine, and fully custom pitches. Our CNC lathes produce thread pitch directly from the part program without requiring a specific tap or die.
316L stainless steel provides excellent corrosion resistance for most aqueous and mild chemical environments. For more aggressive environments, consider 17-4 PH stainless (heat treatable for strength) or titanium Grade 5 (superior corrosion resistance with high strength). Contact us for a material recommendation based on your specific environment.
Yes. We coordinate heat treating through our outside operations network and can provide material certifications, heat treat records, and dimensional inspection reports as part of the delivery package.
