A hydraulic or pneumatic fitting looks deceptively simple a threaded body with an internal bore. In practice, precision fittings combine multiple demanding features: an external thread that must seal under high pressure, an internal bore held to a tight diameter for sealing or flow, O-ring grooves at precise depth and width, a hex drive feature aligned to the thread axis, and an overall length that controls stack-up in the assembly.
All of these features must be produced in correct relationship to each other which is why precision fittings belong on live tooling lathes and Swiss CNC machines that complete all features in a single setup. Resolute Precision’s turning capability is configured exactly for this class of component.
We produce fittings with all standard thread and sealing types used in fluid power and hydraulic systems. The choice of thread and sealing type is specified on your drawing — our machines produce what your drawing calls for.
NPT (National Pipe Taper) — tapered thread, seals on thread flanks with thread sealant
BSPP and BSPT (British Standard Pipe) — parallel and tapered forms for metric/European systems
Straight threads with O-ring face seal (ORFS) — reliable metal-to-metal face seal with O-ring
JIC 37-degree flare fittings — for hydraulic and fuel line applications
SAE ORB (O-Ring Boss) — straight thread with O-ring groove for port connections
Custom thread forms — any thread form specified on your drawing

Resolute Precision precision machined fittings are used in demanding fluid system applications:
Hydraulic system fittings — high-pressure connections for mobile and industrial hydraulics
Pneumatic fittings — air system connections for automation and tooling applications
Fuel system fittings — aircraft and automotive fuel line connections in aluminum and stainless
Medical gas fittings — precision stainless fittings for medical gas distribution systems
Industrial process fittings — chemical-resistant stainless fittings for process equipment
Marine hardware fittings — brass and stainless fittings for marine fuel, water, and bilge systems
Pressure rating depends on the material, wall thickness, and thread type specified on your drawing. We machine fittings to the dimensions your drawing specifies your engineering team is responsible for confirming that the design meets the pressure rating required by your application. We can provide material certifications to support your qualification process.
Yes. Our live tooling lathes produce external and internal threads in the same setup the part does not need to be moved between operations. External threads, internal bores, and drive features are all produced in one cycle with a single datum reference.
Brass 360 is the most common material for hydraulic fittings at working pressures up to approximately 3,000 PSI. Steel 4140 is used for high-pressure applications. Stainless 316 is used where corrosion resistance is required alongside pressure capability.
Yes. O-ring grooves are a standard feature on our live tooling lathes. We machine grooves to AS568A, BS1806, or customer-specified dimensions. Width, depth, and corner radius are held to drawing tolerances.
